At its heart lies the legendary PQP Trident action, conceived by Dan Killough and engineered around a 3-lug, 75-degree bolt geometry that cycles with mechanical authority and remarkable smoothness. The RB-RP configuration delivers a short, efficient throw that feels deliberate and exact—every movement refined for the shooter who measures success in thousandths and single-hole groups.

The rifle’s foundation of accuracy is its MullerWorks .920 straight contour barrel, chambered in .22LR and tuned with a 1:16 twist to extract the absolute best from premium match ammunition. Heavy, stable, and thermally consistent, the barrel anchors the rifle with the kind of unwavering balance demanded in serious rimfire competition. Paired with an integrated 20 MOA rail, the BR 04-2 transitions effortlessly from tight benchrest aggregates to precision rimfire engagements at extended distance.

Completing the rifle’s precision-focused architecture is a finely tuned barrel tuner system, engineered to extract the absolute highest level of consistency from match-grade rimfire ammunition. Designed to harmonize barrel vibrations and refine the rifle’s natural frequency during firing, the tuner allows the BR 04-2 to be precisely calibrated to specific ammunition lots and environmental conditions.

Trigger control is delivered through the exceptional TriggerTech Diamond, adjustable from an impossibly light 4 ounces up to 32 ounces. The break is crisp, instantaneous, and devoid of creep—a trigger that disappears beneath the shooter’s finger, leaving only intent and execution.

The rifle is seated in a handcrafted Precision WoodCraft walnut stock by Randy Ownes, built specifically for the Trident platform.
