Prometheus Dominion 6 PPC Benchrest Rifle

Purpose-built for the demanding world of competitive benchrest shooting, this custom 6mm PPC rifle was engineered with one objective in mind: absolute mechanical consistency. Centered around the legendary Kelbly’s Prometheus action, this platform delivers the precision, rigidity, and repeatability elite shooters demand from a true benchrest rifle.

At the core of the build is a heavy varmint contour 6mm PPC barrel produced by Preferred Barrel Blanks and precision-machined by Kelbly’s specifically to interface with the Prometheus action. Featuring a 1:14 twist and substantial 1.200” to .920” HV contour, the barrel was selected to optimize harmonic stability, minimize thermal shift, and deliver exceptional shot-to-shot consistency under match conditions. An integrated 20 MOA Picatinny rail provides a rigid optics mounting solution suited for serious competition use.

Trigger performance is handled by the outstanding TriggerTech Diamond trigger system, adjustable from an ultra-light 4 ounces up to 32 ounces. The break is exceptionally crisp, clean, and predictable — exactly what experienced benchrest shooters expect when precision matters most.

The barreled action is Epoxy bedded into a Protektor Model Remington 700-pattern stock configured specifically for the Prometheus action and finished in a rich Coffee color. Proper bedding enhances long-term stability, maintains repeatable harmonics, and ensures the rifle tracks consistently during recoil while preserving the traditional benchrest aesthetic.

For shooters seeking a turnkey precision package, the rifle can optionally be paired with an Arken Optics EP-5 5-25×56 FFP optic mounted in 34mm Monstrum Tactical rings. Featuring a first focal plane illuminated VHR MIL reticle and reliable tracking performance, the EP-5 complements the rifle’s precision-focused mission exceptionally well.

This rifle was built specifically for benchrest competition and precision load development, emphasizing refined ergonomics, mechanical repeatability, and uncompromising accuracy potential.

While classified as a “blem” configuration due to minor cosmetic inconsistencies near the left-side port area, these imperfections are purely cosmetic and have no impact on functionality or performance.
